Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Float

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical float unit, with the ability to care for occasional critical care patients
• Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
• Maintain patient safety and quality care standards across varied unit assignments
• Adhere to scheduling expectations, including holiday coverage and minimizing time-off requests, particularly during the first two weeks of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
• 2 supervisory references required
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 5 years before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the travel rate; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Comfort and familiarity with critical care patient populations
• Experience working in an acute care hospital setting
