Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every other weekend and some holidays expected
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within a Level I Emergency Department setting
- Care for admitted patients boarding in the ED while awaiting inpatient bed availability, in designated areas or hallway spaces as needed
- Maintain patient ratios of up to 6:1 in ED holding assignments
- Float to acute care areas within scope of practice to support facility needs as needed
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR (prior experience required)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license – Tennessee license or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers may be considered based on previous clinical experience
- ACLS certification required
- Prior experience with Cerner EMR required
- Acute Care and/or Med-Surg Telemetry experience required
- 2 professional references required (may be pending at time of submittal)
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity Level I Emergency Department environment
- Familiarity with ED boarding workflows and hallway patient care
- Experience with block scheduling arrangements
