Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Key Responsibilities

Perform a broad range of nuclear medicine procedures across a patient population spanning pediatrics to geriatrics, including HIDA scans, bone scans, lymphoscintigraphy, gastric emptying studies, brain death studies, myocardial perfusion SPECT, I-123 scan/uptake, I-131 whole body scans, I-131 ablations (under 30 mCi), renal scans with or without Lasix, and parathyroid studies
Operate and document within unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, and PACS
Adhere to scrub color requirements (black, gray, or purple) and all facility dress code policies
Be available for call shifts as needed: Monday – Friday 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM; Saturday – Sunday 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM (approximately 1–2 days per week and every fourth weekend)
Participate in holiday coverage per facility policy; travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period
May be required to travel to an additional nearby outpatient location to perform STAT inpatient studies as needed

Required Qualifications

Active NMTCB certification and/or ARRT (NM) certification required
Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine experience preferred; first-time travelers are accepted
Proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and PACS required
All requested time off (maximum 7 days per contract) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule changes can be requested post-offer or during orientation week
Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; all compliance documents are due the Tuesday prior to start
Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience performing the full range of nuclear medicine procedures listed, including advanced studies such as myocardial perfusion SPECT and I-131 ablations
Familiarity with multi-site or high-volume imaging environments
Ability to adapt to varying patient acuity levels across a broad age range
