Contract | 16 Weeks | Nights (Rotating Night/Evening) | 3x12 or 4x12 | Every Other Weekend Required | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting, serving patients across all age ranges from infant to geriatric
• Manage a broad range of complex, multi-system diagnoses with a standard patient ratio of 1:4, which may increase to 1:5 with lower-acuity patients
• Work rotating night and evening shifts (19:00–07:30 / 15:00–03:30), with primary need on night shift based on departmental scheduling needs
• Fulfill every-other-weekend and holiday requirements as scheduled
• Float within the Emergency Department specialty and to sister ED facilities as needed; travelers are first to float

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact license valid at time of submission
• BLS certification – AHA only
• ACLS certification – AHA only
• PALS certification – AHA only
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI certification required (The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor; may be completed during onboarding)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Must maintain a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP certification (NRP or AAP accepted)
• TNCC certification
• Experience with high-acuity, multi-system, and complex patient diagnoses in an emergency setting
