Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and heart rhythms using automated equipment such as EKGs
- Provide specialized nursing care to acutely ill patients, including those stepping down from intensive care
- Closely observe and manage patients with heart disease or other serious cardiac and medical conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately using the facility's EMR system (Cerner)
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license (or compact license accepted per state requirements)
- Minimum 2 years of RN Telemetry experience required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) training required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and may be subject to an adjusted rate structure
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Background in a tertiary or teaching hospital environment
