Contract | 36 or 48 hours per week | Days/Evenings/Nights Rotating & Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving all patient populations at approximately 230 visits per day
• Perform general ED nursing skills including patient assessment, documentation, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
• Deliver care within a 1:4 clinician-to-patient ratio across a department that includes a separate pediatric pod and an acute mental health area
• Chart accurately using EPIC – ASAP EMR system
• Float as needed to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and the Acute Mental Health/ED Psych Observation unit
• Participate in rotating shifts (7a–7p, 11a–11p, and 7p–7a) when requested; rotation frequency is low — night positions do not rotate

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• AHA-certified BLS required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification strongly preferred
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification strongly preferred
• Experience working in a high-volume, pod-based emergency department environment
• Familiarity with acute mental health or psychiatric observation patient populations
