Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (4 West Comprehensive Medical Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care primarily on a Comprehensive Medical Unit
• Float as needed between various Med-Surg units including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarder areas
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings as part of routine patient assessment
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes across diverse medical populations

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Ohio or compact state eligibility
• Active BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of current and recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience required
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry — competency will be assessed on day one
• Current Epic EMR proficiency required — must be independently proficient prior to assignment start; refresher training or 1:1 onboarding support is not available

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working across multiple Med-Surg specialty areas (Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation)
• Familiarity with ED boarder patient populations
• Strong adaptability and comfort with floating between units
