Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit with a night shift patient ratio of 6:1
• Utilize telemetry monitoring and unit equipment including bladder scanner, vital sign machines, and lifts
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, LVNs, and PCTs to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Complete 4 weekend shifts per month as required by unit scheduling guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience
• No on-call requirements for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of nursing experience
• Experience with telemetry monitoring in a Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Receptive to feedback and demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and accountability in patient care
