Registered Nurse – Orthopedic (Travel Contract)

Paris, TX | Inpatient Orthopedic Unit

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed inpatient orthopedic unit serving adult and pediatric populations
• Manage common orthopedic diagnoses and treatments including fracture care and traction equipment
• Maintain a patient ratio of 5:1 in accordance with unit standards
• Document and manage patient records using Meditech EHR
• Float to other units as required based on facility needs
• Adhere to facility dress code; black scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license applicable in the state of Texas
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with Med/Surg background required
• BLS certification required prior to start
• PALS certification required prior to start
• All required certifications must be obtained and verified before assignment begins; client reserves the right to require additional certifications
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with traction equipment and orthopedic post-operative care
• Experience with Meditech EHR platform
