Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intensive Care Unit setting
- Monitor, assess, and respond to critically ill patients requiring intensive nursing intervention
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes in the medical record
- Expected to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU specialty setting
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with critically ill or complex patient populations in a high-acuity environment
- Familiarity with ICU-specific equipment, monitoring systems, and clinical workflows
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills in fast-paced settings
