Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Contract | Nights | Schedule varies, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonatal patients in a specialized NICU setting
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes in status
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
  • Adhere to holiday coverage expectations, including working 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in NICU
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in a high-acuity or Level III/IV NICU environment
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in neonatal populations
  • Ability to adapt to varying schedules and dynamic care environments
