Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate total nursing care for an adult and geriatric patient population in a stepdown/IMC/PCU setting
  • Administer and monitor cardiac drip therapy in accordance with facility protocols
  • Provide dementia management and care as part of routine patient assignments
  • Participate in patient and family education and teaching throughout the care continuum
  • Work cooperatively with ancillary nursing and interdisciplinary patient care team members to maintain professional nursing standards
  • Float to an additional unit within the facility as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license
  • Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
  • Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification
  • Active NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
  • Cardiac drip experience required
  • Dementia experience and management required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Must have personal reliable transportation — this is a firm requirement as the area does not have public transportation
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • NIHSS certification (strongly preferred, though listed as required — candidates with documented experience should highlight this on their profile)
  • Prior travel nursing experience in a stepdown or PCU environment
  • Familiarity with holiday and rotating schedule expectations in a travel assignment
