Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, days vary | On-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within a high-volume surgical environment
- Support and perform scrub and/or circulating duties across a range of surgical cases
- Deliver specialized care for Neurological and Orthopedic surgical cases as the primary focus of practice
- Assist with robotic-assisted surgical procedures as needed
- Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for documentation and patient management
- Fulfill on-call obligations and meet holiday coverage requirements, including 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Operating Room nursing
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in Neurological and Orthopedic surgical procedures
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgical systems
- Versatility across multiple surgical specialties and case types
- Prior travel nursing experience with ability to adapt quickly to new environments
