Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Includes weekends and holidays as needed | No on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting within an acute care hospital
- Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation and charting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement patient care
- Float between like campuses (downtown and northeast) based on census and staffing needs
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November), including peak months of August and September
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered at the standard rate; candidates within 60 miles may be considered
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency room setting
- Familiarity with high-acuity, high-volume emergency department environments
- Experience floating between multiple units or campuses
