Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Monday or Tuesday starts available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 17-bed Emergency Department serving primarily adult and geriatric populations
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 with an average unit volume of approximately 40 visits per day
- Utilize MediTech EHR for documentation and patient management
- Participate in call coverage to support daily volume and 24/7 coverage needs
- Maintain BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC certifications throughout the assignment
- Comply with all mandatory reporting requirements for both child and adult populations
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Iowa
- BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an acute care Emergency Department setting
- Must complete Iowa State and County background check including criminal and child abuse portions — no instant or statewide searches accepted
- 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
- Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) from within the last 12 months required
- Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Experience in a similarly sized regional or community hospital Emergency Department
- Familiarity with MediTech EHR
