Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Days/Mids (0700, 1100 start times) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department seeing an average of 200 patients per day, with a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Manage a wide variety of patient presentations including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, DKA, respiratory distress, mental health, and adult psych cases
- Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV access and management, medication administration including drips, and procedural sedation support
- Administer blood products and cardiac medications; TNK administration experience preferred
- Document accurately and efficiently using the Epic electronic health record system
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, with the ability to flex based on acuity and staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI/MOAB
- Recent Epic EMR experience required
- Traveler Telemetry Competency must be completed and passed prior to start
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with TNK administration
- Familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Experience working in a high-acuity, fast-paced trauma center environment
- Background managing high geriatric populations including falls and STEMI presentations
