Key Responsibilities

• Initiate patient care through evidence-based assessment and document findings in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Submit a detailed plan of care to the referring provider for approval and signature within 24 hours of completing evaluation
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans or make referral recommendations as needed
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in patient care and provide education to enhance their clinical skills
• Maintain treatment records, statistical data, and patient schedules for all referred patients
• Maintain professional knowledge, active licensure, and clinical skills while promoting best practices in occupational therapy

Required Qualifications

• Active Arkansas Occupational Therapy License
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
• Prior occupational therapy experience required
• Inpatient experience required
• Skills Checklist current within the past year, pertinent to occupational therapy, required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
• Applicants must reside more than 90 miles from the facility to be eligible; applicants residing between 90–150 miles may be reviewed but are less likely to be selected

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working within a multi-facility regional referral health system
• Familiarity with MediTech EMR
• Experience supervising COTAs in a clinical setting
