Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
- Perform EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring for patients with cardiac, respiratory, and metabolic conditions
- Conduct respiratory assessments and provide respiratory support as clinically indicated
- Manage medication titration for patients with diagnoses including ETOH detox, post-PCI, DKA/HHS, GI conditions, and BIPAP requirements
- Complete 2 weekend shifts per 2-week pay period and fulfill on-call requirements as assigned
- Float to other units as needed and document care using the Paragon (McKesson) EHR system
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Washington State
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required (or documented training in ACLS or a rhythm interpretation course)
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Paragon (McKesson) EHR system
- Background in caring for patients with ETOH detox, post-PCI, DKA/HHS, or BIPAP management
- Familiarity with a 1:4 patient ratio environment with acuity-based adjustments to 1:3
