Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services within an acute hospital setting, supporting patient evaluation, treatment planning, and goal-directed intervention
  • Deliver care across scheduled day shifts, with expected coverage emphasis on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Participate in weekend coverage, with an expected commitment of 2 weekend days per month
  • Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic electronic health record system
  • Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

  • Active Alaska Occupational Therapist License required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
  • NBCOT Certification required
  • BLS Certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience required
  • Candidates whose permanent address is within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
  • All time-off requests must be submitted upfront at the time of candidate submittal; post-offer requests may not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience in an acute care or hospital-based setting
  • Familiarity with Epic electronic health records
  • Experience working in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma facility
