Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatments; design functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients; ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; actively pursue continuing education and professional development

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of California
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience required — new graduates will not be considered
• Knowledge of and adherence to state and federal documentation and compliance standards
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement evidence-based, goal-directed treatment plans

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
• Experience with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
• Involvement in professional organizations or ongoing continuing education beyond state-mandated requirements
