Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and non-emergent conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate timely disposition
• Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience required
• Active Massachusetts RN License — must be current and on hand at time of submission
• Active American Heart Association BLS — must be current and on hand at time of submission
• Active American Heart Association ACLS — must be current and on hand at time of submission
• Active American Heart Association PALS — must be current and on hand at time of submission
• Active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) — must be current and on hand at time of submission
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion — strongly required
• Candidate must have personal transportation available for this assignment
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system strongly preferred
• Familiarity with high-acuity emergency care in a teaching hospital environment
