Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients across the full lifespan — newborn through geriatric — utilizing knowledge of age-related growth and development to individualize the nursing process
- Deliver care in a high-volume emergency department (26,000+ visits per year) within a newly renovated, 20-bed unit equipped with state-of-the-art monitors and communication devices
- Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio while adapting quickly and effectively to stressful and rapidly changing clinical situations
- Collaborate closely with pre-hospital, in-hospital, and trauma teams to ensure seamless continuity of emergency care in a Trauma Level III facility
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Must be comfortable managing drips and ventilators
Required Qualifications
- Active New Hampshire RN license or compact RN license — must be submitted with profile
- Active BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Active ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Active PALS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Minimum 2 years of current, hands-on Emergency Department experience required (more experience given first consideration)
- Prior travel nursing experience of at least 3 months required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Candidates must have their own personal vehicle for this assignment
- Availability to work holiday blocks as scheduled — travelers are expected to work at least two of the following blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after; Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after; New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and weekend after
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience working in a high-volume or trauma-level emergency department
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
