Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio across a 24-bed main ED, 12-bed fast track, and 8 hall beds
• Perform and assist with airway and resuscitation management, procedural sedation, chest tube insertion, wound care, and splinting
• Operate and utilize specialized equipment including Belmont rapid infuser, sono-site machine, Arctic Sun, Bair Hugger, and Lucas device
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including Emergency Resource Nurses and Clinical Staff Support personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate critical care competency and maintain composure in high-acuity and high-volume situations

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current critical care competency
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required
• Strong ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize patient-centered care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
• Experience with ultrasound-guided IV placement
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Level III Trauma Center or comparable high-acuity ED setting
