Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 3:00 AM – 3:30 PM (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM shift coverage occasionally as needed) | Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed | No Call
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups, including special care populations such as cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health
- Deliver care within a facility that includes a cath lab, women's health services, and a designated stroke care program; STEMI and Stroke facility experience is required
- Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
- Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
- Complete unit-based orientation modules (non-billable, averaging 2–4 hours, completed during orientation)
- Pass a compliance EKG exam prior to assignment (2 attempts allowed, required for all RNs regardless of specialty)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- STEMI and Stroke facility experience required
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Current driver's license required to verify address
- No open background check cases permitted; third-party education verification required
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application — no post-submission RTO accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for diverse patient populations including oncology, sepsis, and behavioral health
- Familiarity with cath lab, women's health, or stroke care environments
- Comfort with floating to multiple units or campuses within a health system
