Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and demonstrate strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
- Manage patients on critical drips and monitor hemodynamic status
- Float as needed to Med/Surg, ICU (border patients), and the Emergency Department (ED holds)
- Operate GE cardiac monitoring systems and Hospira IV pumps; document care using Expanse EMR
- Participate in every-other-weekend rotation or equivalent based on staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a hospital setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS (NIAH) certification required
- Strong dysrhythmia recognition and critical drip experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patient care experience
- Pacemaker patient care experience
- Prior experience within the HCA healthcare system
