Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment to pediatric patients in an inpatient acute and rehabilitation setting
- Deliver strong pediatric-focused care across a variety of cases within scope of practice
- Document patient care and progress using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- May be required to float to other units within the hospital as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of inpatient pediatric post-graduate work experience in an acute or rehabilitation setting
- Active California Physical Therapy License required; pending CA license accepted if ETA of posting date is provided — candidates licensed in another state may utilize the 60-day rule to practice in CA while obtaining their CA license and must be willing to actively pursue CA licensure upon offer
- BLS certification required
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- Maximum of 6 days of RTO; RTO must be confirmed upfront
- Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 holidays during the contract
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience at a children's hospital is a plus, though not required — strong pediatric clinical experience is the priority
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records
- Experience working in a Level 1 trauma or teaching facility environment
