Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Every other weekend, every other holiday; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 26-bed acute care unit serving a diverse population, primarily General Surgery and Trauma patients
• Care for post-surgical patients (approximately 90% of the unit census) as well as patients with medical diagnoses
• Utilize cardiac monitoring, capnography/end-tidal CO2 monitoring, and continuous pulse oximetry available in all patient rooms
• Document and manage patient care using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Epic experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• References required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred but not required
• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Experience with post-surgical and trauma patient populations
