Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-hour days (0645–1915) with every other weekend call, or 4x10-hour days (0700–1700); call requirement of 1 day per week and 1–2 weekends per 4–5 week schedule; 30-minute response time when on call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a high-volume operating room environment averaging 22 cases per day
• Perform both circulator and scrub roles across a broad range of surgical specialties
• Support cardiovascular procedures including vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting, aortic surgeries, bypasses, and carotid procedures
• Assist with general, vascular, thoracic, robotic, orthopedic, ENT, urology, and gynecologic surgical cases
• Fulfill on-call obligations including weekend and holiday emergency coverage as scheduled
• Document accurately using Cerner and Accudose systems

Required Qualifications

• Active WV or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; minimum 1 year of operating room specialty experience
• Cardiovascular surgery experience is required; candidates without CV or general surgery experience will not be considered
• Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing across multiple surgical specialties including vascular, general, orthopedic, ENT, urology, robotics, and gynecology
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption documentation from an allergist or physician accepted
• Must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing 75–100 miles away may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency in robotic-assisted surgery (gynecologic, colorectal, hernia, laparoscopic Nissen procedures)
• Experience with complex vascular cases including AV fistulas/grafts, femoral-popliteal bypasses, and embolectomies
• Familiarity with advanced general surgery cases such as Whipple procedures, liver resections, and colorectal resections
• Experience with ACLS and/or PALS (AHA-issued)
