Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across a MedSurg/Telemetry float pool, with primary assignment to units covering CHF, cardiac cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology patients (permanent staff administer chemotherapy)
• Report to the clinical coordinator's office prior to shift start for unit assignment; may float across up to six units and will most likely be assigned a parent unit with basic telemetry patients within scope of practice
• Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips independently; monitor techs are available on most units but RN interpretation is required
• Manage patient assignments at a typical ratio of 1:5–6, with acuity-dependent variation; CNAs are available on all units to support care delivery
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling (Saturday/Sunday) and rotate into the holiday schedule alongside permanent staff
• Adhere to facility dress code: royal blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license valid in West Virginia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required
• Must successfully complete and pass a facility cardiac rhythm exam prior to placement
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; a copy of an unexpired driver's license is required with all submissions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a MedSurg/Telemetry or float pool setting
• Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
• Experience caring for cardiac, oncology, or orthopedic patient populations
• Comfort working in a high-variability environment with frequent unit reassignment
