Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (start and end times may vary based on case load; early starts and late ends are rotated)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage both sterile and non-sterile environments within the operating room
• Coordinate patient care, safety, and workflow across the entire perioperative period
• Perform circulator duties across a range of surgical specialties including General, Orthopedic, Robotic, Urological, OB/GYN, Podiatry, ENT, and Plastics
• Participate in on-call rotation — expected 2 days per week as first or backup call, plus one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Utilize the PICIS EMR system for documentation and patient management

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of dedicated surgical/OR experience
• Confident circulator abilities across multiple surgical service lines
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub technician experience in addition to circulator skills
• First assist experience preferred
• Familiarity with PICIS EMR
• Experience in robotic-assisted surgical procedures
