Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week (must be indicated at time of submission)
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for all age groups, including post-surgical, GI/GU/ENT/Urology, and telemetry patients
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
- Perform and demonstrate competence in drug titration as required by the unit
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
- Float on a rotational basis as required; night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire orientation week
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- 4 trauma credits required — must be completed within the first two weeks of the assignment if not already obtained at time of submission
- NIHSS certification — may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start date
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
- Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
- Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required from November 1 through April 1 — declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
- Inpatient trauma experience preferred
- Familiarity with Alaris pumps, telemetry monitoring equipment, and lift equipment
- Experience with EPIC EMR
