Registered Nurse – PACU / Preop (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) with some on-call coverage on nights and weekends | 6-Week Assignment | Expected approximately 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to primarily adult patients in a 3-bed PACU unit, maintaining patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Support Preop functions as part of a shared PACU/Preop position
- Respond to on-call cases within 30 minutes of notification during nights and weekends
- Utilize facility EHR systems (CQI and Medhost) for accurate and timely documentation
- Care for patients presenting with common diagnoses including appendectomy and cholecystectomy; participate in monthly ENT cases
- Adhere to facility dress code standards, including closed-toe shoes and no artificial fingernails
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
- BLS certification required at time of submission
- ACLS certification required at time of submission
- PALS certification required at time of submission
- All required certifications must be current at submission — certifications are not available on site
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Combined Preop and PACU experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with CQI and/or Medhost EHR platforms
- Experience with adult surgical patient populations
