Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity COVID ICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio
- Manage and monitor patients on vasoactive drips with a strong understanding of hemodynamic principles
- Perform and assist with advanced procedures including ECMO, CRRT, chest tube insertions, and central line insertions
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
- Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy — all candidates will be informed of the floating policy during the interview process
- Work 3 shifts per week including every other weekend as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License required — temporary licenses will not be accepted
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- Demonstrated comfort with vasoactive drips and hemodynamic monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ECMO experience (VV ECMO preferred)
- CRRT experience, specifically with NxtStage equipment
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
- Experience caring for COVID-positive ICU patients
