Registered Nurse – Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) / Oncology

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit within an oncology setting
- Administer chemotherapy and follow all applicable chemotherapy protocols
- Perform central line dressing changes, mediport access, and lab draws in accordance with unit protocols
- Conduct CHG baths including care of central lines and dressings
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License required — temporary licenses are not accepted
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of RN experience
- Oncology/cancer care experience required
- Experience with mediports, PICCs, and central lines required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Chemotherapy certification preferred
- Prior experience working in a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
