Travel RN – Trauma/Surgical ICU (TICU/STICU)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed Surgical/Trauma ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage critical care drips, pressor medications, and arterial lines
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including CRRT, mechanical ventilators, MTP, Hemospheres, and TTM
- Assist with and support procedures such as bronchoscopy and CVC/arterial line insertion
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
- Float to MICU, TICU, and ICC as needed per unit guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Texas (or compact eligibility)
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Demonstrated experience with pressor medication management and arterial line management
- Proficiency with critical drip management
- Ability to adhere to attendance policy and meet schedule commitments
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with CRRT, mechanical ventilation, and TTM therapy
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR
- Experience in a trauma or surgical ICU setting
- Flexible, adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced critical care environment
