Contract RN – PCU / IMC / Stepdown (Night Shift, 13 Weeks)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | Rotating Weekends | No On-Call Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Intermediate Care (IMC) / PCU unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform pre- and post-operative care for assigned patients
• Manage drip titration and non-titration drips in accordance with unit protocols
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, SCD pumps, BiPAP/CPAP, and telemetry monitoring systems
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PCTs and Telemetry Monitor Techs to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing experience
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and related equipment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Progressive Cardiac Care Nurse (PCCN) certification
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment
