Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 31-bed Medical Surgical floor serving diagnoses including cardiac, IDDM, COPD, trauma, orthopedic, ENT, urology, and pain management
• Manage a high patient turnover environment — the unit expects approximately 10–12 patient turns per day
• Titrate Heparin drips on the floor; must be comfortable managing titratable drips
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently; tele techs are available on unit but RNs must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Collaborate with charge nurses present on each shift and a house supervisor available in-house 24/7
• Adhere to unit dress code: Royal Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in West Virginia or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Ability to titrate drips, including Heparin infusions
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac strips independently
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Stepdown setting
• Familiarity with cardiac, trauma, or orthopedic patient populations
• Experience managing high patient turnover environments
