Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations (60-minute eval and treatment sessions) and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient goals and physician direction
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge and facilitating effective return to community activities
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations as assigned
• Adhere to all safety protocols including safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard reporting

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Texas
• Compliance with state-mandated continuing education requirements
• Adherence to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and applicable regulatory agency standards
• Ability to maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with the PT code of conduct

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
• Familiarity with functional quality indicators, letters of medical necessity, and insurance authorization processes
• Experience supervising or mentoring PT students in a clinical environment
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations
