Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Work a 36-hour weekly schedule across three 12-hour night shifts
• Float to other units as required based on facility needs
• Actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside the provision of direct patient care
• Complete all required orientation modules, including online computer-based learning, during the designated orientation period

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required — AHA is the only accepted form; all other certifications will not meet compliance requirements
• Must complete Relias EKG testing within 72 hours of signing; two attempts are allowed — failure to complete or pass within this timeframe may result in cancellation
• Must be available and committed to completing a drug test within 12–14 calendar days prior to start date, with availability for a second lab visit if needed
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC guidelines for fit testing; refusal may result in cancellation
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility's service area to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Comfort working with varying patient census levels and flexibility with scheduling adjustments
• Experience supporting or mentoring nursing students in a clinical environment
