Registered Nurse – Med-Surg Ortho/Neuro (1 West)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med-Surg Ortho/Neuro unit with occasional floating to other Med-Surg units including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings as part of routine patient assessment — telemetry competency will be evaluated on day one
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Deliver care across a 36-hour expected weekly schedule with no on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Ohio or compact eligibility
• Active BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience required; must demonstrate ability to read telemetry
• Current Epic EMR proficiency is required — candidates must be independently proficient prior to start; refresher training or 1:1 onboarding support is not available
• Available to start November 16th (returning travelers within 9 months may have alternate start date options)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working across multiple Med-Surg specialties (Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation)
• Comfort with float assignments within a Med-Surg environment
