Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting within a short-term acute care hospital
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4, with the possibility of flexing to 1:5 depending on patient acuity
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including like units or sister facilities as required
• Participate in required staff meetings and complete all assigned onboarding modules prior to start date
• Be prepared to support emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Must complete all assigned onboarding modules before the start date; module access is typically available the Wednesday prior to start
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic health records charting system
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
