Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel Contract)

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM | Onsite | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized perioperative nursing care within a dedicated Operating Room/Surgery Unit serving patients of all ages
- Utilize Cerner EHR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in call coverage as required, including approximately 12 call shifts per month and one on-call weekend per month; must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
- Float to other areas as needed based on unit demands
- Adhere to facility dress code; scrubs are provided
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure valid in North Carolina (or compact license eligibility)
- ACLS certification required prior to start
- BLS certification required prior to start
- CPI/HWC/MAB certification required prior to start
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a specialized Operating Room setting (this is not a floor/med-surg position)
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records
- Familiarity with a broad surgical case mix across multiple specialties, including cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, and urology
- Ability to work every-other weekend and adapt to a flexible call schedule
