Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient clinic setting, managing approximately 11 cases per day
- Perform assessments including AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, pain assessment, sensory response, and skin integrity checks
- Develop and manage individualized care plans including short-term goals, long-term goals, reassessments, and discharge planning
- Provide gait training and instruction on assistive devices including standard walkers, rolling walkers, crutches, sliding boards, and shoulder slings
- Treat a variety of conditions including low back pain, post-op orthopedic cases, neurological disorders (e.g., post-stroke, Parkinson's, MS, TBI), and cardiopulmonary conditions (e.g., COPD, CHF)
- Deliver home exercise programs and patient/family education to support continuity of care
Required Qualifications
- Active New Mexico Physical Therapist license required (may be pending at time of submission)
- BLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience; first-time travelers accepted with acute inpatient experience
- COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with appropriate documentation
- Must not reside within 100 miles of the facility to be eligible; non-local driver's license required on file
- No floating outside of scope required; no on-call or weekend requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with neurological populations including multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, and traumatic brain injury
- Background in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation including management of COPD and CHF patients
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
- Experience with spinal conditions, extremity mobilization, and post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation
