Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | On-Call: Every other weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
- Respond to emergency events as directed by unit management, which may include remaining on-site until an event resolves or serving as part of a relief team
- Participate in holiday coverage rotation, with an expectation to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
- Complete required facility orientation modules, which are conducted up to 5 days per week and are factored into orientation hours
- Maintain CPI certification prior to or upon start of assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license — Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required — AHA-issued certifications are required
- NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
- Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility address) to be eligible
- Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for at least 1 full year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be noted on the candidate profile and discussed during the interview — failure to disclose RTO prior to offer may result in rescission
- No call-ins permitted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
- Familiarity with high-acuity emergency patient populations
- Strong adaptability and ability to work within varying team structures during emergency events
