Staff RN – Emergency Department

Location

Lancaster, OH | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process for Emergency Department patients
• Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely; implement physician orders as written
• Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status in a timely manner
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Maintain thorough, concise, and accurate documentation of the nursing process
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio required
• Current CPR certification required
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Previous nursing experience, particularly in an Emergency Department setting
• Experience with problem-solving and facilitating resolution to complex clinical issues
