ICU Registered Nurse (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to ICU patients in a 10-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients with common diagnoses including respiratory failure, DKA, COPD exacerbation, post-heart cath, CHF, and post-op conditions
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and Tele Access Critical Care systems
• Document patient care accurately using the MedHost electronic health record system
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Fulfill weekend shift expectations of 6 shifts within a 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA ACLS certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Prior experience with MedHost EHR
• Familiarity with Baxter pumps and telemetry/critical care monitoring systems
