Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a Level II Trauma Center OR environment, managing a 1:1 patient ratio across adult and geriatric populations
• Perform both scrub and circulator roles across a broad range of surgical specialties including trauma, urology, podiatry, orthopedics, plastics, neurosurgery, gynecology, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiac, and bariatric procedures
• Operate and assist with DaVinci robotic surgical systems
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in rotational weekend shifts, holiday coverage as scheduled, and on-call responsibilities (approximately 5–6 calls per 4-week period, including one weekend 24-hour call); must be available to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of being called in
• Float within the OR specialty and to a sister campus as needed per departmental requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact license at time of submission
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• Minimum of 3 years of OR experience; candidates with 2 years of strong, relevant experience may be considered
• Proficiency in both scrub and circulator roles with demonstrated general OR and robotics experience
• Ability to float within scope with no restrictions; travelers are first to float
• Must maintain a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Exposure to a high-volume, multi-specialty OR environment including trauma and robotics cases
• First-time travelers with strong general OR and DaVinci robotics backgrounds are welcome to apply
