Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit serving an adult and geriatric population with conditions including respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological issues
• Utilize Omnicell medication system and EPIC EMR for documentation and medication management
• Float to other Medical Surgical / Telemetry floors and facilities based on census needs; MS/Tele competencies required
• Complete pre-assignment testing, modules, and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes
• Work every other weekend, with schedule subject to variation based on facility need
• Collaborate within a team-oriented environment supported by a charge RN each shift

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must possess MS/Telemetry competencies and pass an EKG exam prior to assignment
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry preferred; candidates with 1+ year of recent relevant unit experience may be considered
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible (candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be subject to a bill rate adjustment; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for elderly patients with complex, multi-system disease processes
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Demonstrated ability to float across units and adapt quickly to varying patient populations
