Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Manage a caseload of approximately 2 patients per hour, with most sessions lasting 45 minutes or more; initial evaluations and safety patients receive a full hour of one-on-one care
- Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge and effective return to community activities
- Complete thorough and timely medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
- Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned, including supervision, learning objective development, and student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act, regulatory requirements, and professional codes of conduct while maintaining active professional licensure in good standing
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Colorado (in good standing)
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Proficiency in clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Experience supervising or mentoring PT students in a clinical environment
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and ongoing professional development
