Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Rotating weekends (every other weekend; additional weekend scheduling may occur based on unit need)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 19-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving a primarily geriatric and adult population with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Utilize unit equipment including Welch Allyn vital machines, Masimo bedside monitoring, CareView, telemetry, Sara Steady, and ARJO lift systems
• Document and manage patient care using Medhost EHR (Clinical Experience required)
• Float as needed to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER; task assignments apply for OB and ER; may accept low-level Med/Surg overflow patients in ICU at a 1:3 ratio
• Participate in on-call rotation depending on census; staff may be placed on call or floated based on unit need
• Maintain compliance with all Tennessee state requirements, including clearance through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start

Required Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN/LVN licensure valid in the State of Tennessee
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• All required certifications must be obtained prior to assignment start date
• Minimum 1–2+ years of Med/Surg experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring in a Med/Surg setting
• Familiarity with Medhost or similar EHR platforms
• Experience floating to ICU, ER, or OB environments
